scotland the brave..?

NTS Blabbermouth
It’s a big week for Scotland next week and here at DM Audio, as well as supplying PA for the local election referendum results in Midlothian, we are also supplying PA and backline for the National Theatre of Scotland’s Blabbermouth – a celebration of Scotland by Scotland’s most celebrated people which is being held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 17th September in the Assembly Hall on the Mound.  The event, which was conceived and curated by Graham McLaren, is a 12 hour live celebration of Scottish music and spoken word where invited artists, actors, politicians, journalists, sportspeople, singers and scientists will perform their favourite bit of Scottish writing. This could be anything from a song lyric, poem, gag, letter or sports commentary with the only proviso being that it must have been written by a Scot.  The event will be divided into four two-and-a-half-hour sessions with each session featuring live music from the house band and guest musicians.
This wide ranging event will give a unique chance to go along and celebrate Scotland’s many important contributions to the world in the final hours before the country’s future is decided by the nation.
The weekend ahead is a busy one with PA for Edinburgh Rugby’s season on the cards again starting with a home game at Murrayfield against Connacht on Friday evening.  If you fancy going to watch a game there are plenty of home fixtures coming up between now and May 2015.
The Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival is on from Friday 12th September to Sunday 14th September and DM Audio is happy to once again be supplying backline for the Festival.  Sponsored for another year by fine malt whisky brand Lagavulin, there is a great selection of high quality music to enjoy brought to you by the very best in Scottish and international musicians.   There are plenty of things to do while you are on the beautiful Island of Islay with long sandy beaches to walk on, a round of golf to play or of course a visit to one of the Island’s many distilleries for a sample or two. Sounds like a weekend of pure delight.
