Another extra busy week here at DM Audio with the weekend ahead the same… We’re always happy when we’re busy though!
Next week sees the opening of a National Theatre of Scotland production (in association with ON at Fife) of a powerful re-imagining of Joe Corrie’s neglected classic ‘In Time O’ Strife’ about a Fife mining community during the General Strike of 1926. Corrie wrote ‘In Time O’ Strife’ to raise funds for the soup kitchens feeding the miners and their starving families whilst on strike himself. It is intensely physical, loud and charged with raw emotion, driven by explosive choreography by Imogen Knight and an original live soundtrack composed by Michael John McCarthy which is performed by a live four piece band of leading Scottish musicians. Created by Graham McLaren (Men Should Weep, A Christmas Carol), the production uses fragments of Corrie’s other plays, poems and songs, celebrating his ability as a writer and his contribution to Scottish culture.
DM Audio supplied the production with some d&b C6 loudspeakers and we just received some cool photos of the set and our d&b’s dressed up with some 1970’s grille cloths. One for all the geeks out there, eh Dino!
The production opens on Wednesday 2nd October and runs until Saturday 12th October at the Pathhead Hall, Kirkcaldy. Tickets can be booked at the ON Fife box office. Looks like one not to miss.
