slap up lunch vs yorkshire tea

cute puppyIt’s been one of the busiest weeks of the year here at DM Audio, and the team did an outstanding job with lots of hard work and long hours.  We are also lucky to have a superb bunch of freelance engineers that we can rely on for total professionalism.  We’re all heading out for a slap up lunch at the Sheep Heid Inn on Friday to help recharge the batteries as things aren’t going to quieten down for a while yet with, among other things, The Enchanted Forest steadily approaching. We’ve been involved with The Enchanted Forest for the last 4 years now. The show changes from year to year – this year’s is entitled ‘Absorb’ – but with its large scale layout we typically have around 1000m of CAT5 cabling to lay for starters!  Hopefully the weather will be kind this year but despite its complexity the system is rock-solid, and has been stress-tested over the course of several Scottish winters already. The show was named best Cultural Event at the regional final of the Scottish Thistle Awards and will now go head to head with award winners from the other regional heats in the national final this November.  The show runs from Friday 4th October until Sunday 27th October.  You can book tickets online or also at Just the Ticket, Atholl Road, Pitlochry open 9am until 9pm.
Unfortunately I am going to miss out on the lunch as I’ll be down at Wetherby Racecourse in West Yorkshire on Friday indulging in my pastime of pedigree dog showing.  This will involve a painfully early start in the morning, a long drive and then trying to calm down a very excitable young Weimaraner in the cold and wet before being dragged round a ring at break neck speed.  The offer of a hot lunch and then later tea and homemade cakes sounds good compensation though. Everyone needs a hobby!
